In a new study, published in Current Biology, researchers from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine reveal how subanesthetic ketamine, which is used for pain management and as an antidepressant in humans, is effective in treating adult amblyopia, a brain disorder commonly known as "lazy eye."
On January 30, 2015, employees represented by the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) working in nine Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) went on strike. Ontario's CCACs believe that their patients, caregivers, health care partners, the general public and employees deserve a fact-based context for judging the relative merit of this labour disruption.
New research suggests that if parents want to keep alcohol away from their middle school children, the best place to start is at home.
