Children are more likely to watch high levels of television if their parents do, but parents do not need to be physically active to help their children to be active, a new study has found.
Gloucester Pharmaceuticals announced today that ISTODAX® (romidepsin) has been included in the updated National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology™ as a suggested systemic treatment option for patients with mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome—two of the most common types of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).
Humans can visually perceive the motion of a small object better than that of a large one. By contrast, according to a study reported in the journal Current Biology on September 5, babies under 6 months of age are better at seeing the movement of large objects than small objects.
By broadly comparing the DNA of children to that of elderly people, gene researchers have identified gene variants that influence lifespan, either by raising disease risk or by providing protection from disease.
The world's first implantable robotic arm controlled by thoughts is being developed by Chalmers researcher Max Ortiz Catalan. The first operations on patients will take place this winter.
