IMRIS Inc. today reported its results for the fourth quarter 2010 highlighted by record financial performance that included strong revenue growth and the Company's second consecutive quarter of positive EBITDA1 and earnings. All figures are reported in Canadian dollars.
A program launched earlier this year by UCLA and three other top research universities has formed an educational partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The partnership, between the National Clinician Scholars Program and the VA, will allow the next generation of leaders and change agents to understand and improve the health of veterans, and of the nation.
"The prescription drug industry's lobbying arm is defending its deal with President Barack Obama in the wake of criticism from House Minority Leader John Boehner, who charged it with 'appeasing' the Obama administration," The Hill reports.
In Germany, several national health campaigns promote cancer screening by announcing that only one in five German men gets screened. This is supposed to motivate men to have an examination. But a new study published in Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science, finds that this well-meaning message has the exact opposite effect: it makes men less likely to choose to get screened.
