As COVID-19 highlights the urgent need to increase vaccine manufacturing around the world, a unique training program is bolstering Canada's capacity to manufacture vaccines, as well as viral immunotherapies for cancer and other emerging biotherapeutics.
Tom Jefferson and colleagues from the Cochrane Group argue that the current system for assessing the safety and effectiveness of drugs, based on published trial data only, is "wholly inadequate" and "ethically dubious."
Researchers at the Health Quality Council and the University of Saskatchewan will be the first to rigorously evaluate a quality improvement program designed to help nurses and other care providers reduce the time they spend on administrative tasks or retrieving medical supplies, so that they can spend more time with their patients.
