Two new retrospective subanalyses of the RE-LY trial, involving Pradaxa capsules, suggested that the reduction in stroke risk achieved with PRADAXA 150mg over warfarin occurred irrespective of CHA2DS2-VASc risk score and the type of non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
According to new advisory guidelines from the United Nations health agency WHO yesterday (7th November 2017), the farmers and the food industry need to stop the use of antibiotics among healthy farm animals routinely. At present many farmers use these antibiotics on healthy animals to make sure that they grow better and diseases are prevented in them.
The risk of death from cancer increases sharply after 50 years of age and most cancers occur in middle-aged and older persons. The incidence of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and thyroid cancer are increasing along with the nation's population of elderly Americans.
The U.S. fertility rate dropped to a record low for the second year in a row, federal officials announced Thursday. Dr. Eve Feinberg, assistant professor of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a practicing OB-GYN at Northwestern Medicine, said she believes the decline in the birth rate is driven by a combination of people waiting longer to have children, the cost of infertility treatment and the economy.
