A Knowledge Transfer Partnership project between City and Evalucom Consulting is designing a new digital system for care homes
The Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO) is pleased to welcome Singapore as a new contributing country to the Program. Singapore's entry into the HFSPO was decided at the Board of Trustees meeting on 18th March in Strasbourg, France.
A large, retrospective, multicenter study involving Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis indicates that convalescent plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients can dramatically improve likelihood of survival among blood cancer patients hospitalized with the virus.
Cinterion, the global leader in cellular machine-to-machine communication modules and a Gemalto company, and TZ Medical, a leading manufacturer of critical-care medical products, today announced Aera-CT, a lightweight and cost effective mHealth heart arrhythmia monitoring device.
"A strong earthquake struck Haiti on Wednesday morning, shaking buildings and sending screaming people running into the streets only eight days after the country's capital was devastated by a previous quake," the Canadian Press reports. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 6.1 magnitude quake was approximately 35 miles northwest of the capital of Port-au-Prince. "It was not immediately possible to ascertain what additional damage the new quake may have caused," the news service writes (Faul, 1/20).
