A new test developed by Japanese scientists may revolutionize how and when physicians diagnose Alzheimer's disease.
The bodies of virtually all U.S. pregnant women carry multiple chemicals, including some banned since the 1970s and others used in common products such as non-stick cookware, processed foods and personal care products, according to a new study from UCSF. The study marks the first time that the number of chemicals to which pregnant women are exposed has been counted.
Advanced Life Sciences Holdings, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of novel drugs in the therapeutic areas of infection, oncology and respiratory diseases, today announced that it has established the pricing terms of its proposed offering of units.
OccuLogix, Inc., dba TearLab Corporation, announced today that TLCVision Corporation, North America's premier eye care services company, will be incorporating the TearLab™ Osmolarity System in eight of its U.S. refractive surgery centers to study Dry Eye Disease symptoms as they relate to LASIK surgery.
CellTherapeutics today announced that it has received conditional marketing authorization from the European Commission for Pixuvri (pixantrone) as monotherapy for the treatment of adult patients with multiply relapsed or refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphomas. Pixuvri is the first approved treatment in the European Union in this patient setting.
