Around a quarter of young people at high risk for mood disorders have a substance use disorder, results from a Canadian study suggest.
While 85 percent of Americans recognize that ultraviolet rays can damage their eyes, only 65 percent wear sunglasses as protection, and even fewer (39 percent) make sure their children wear sunglasses. By comparison, 78 percent make sure their children wear sunscreen when outdoors.
Humana Inc. announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Humana Military Healthcare Services, was awarded two contracts to provide patient appointing services for military hospitals and clinics located in the greater Puget Sound, Washington, and Tidewater, Virginia areas.
While firearm violence is a major public health challenge in the United States, it has often been considered a law enforcement issue with only law enforcement solutions.
According to a GAO report issued last week, "the USAID program designed for food emergencies now spends more than half of its funding to cover multi-year shortages that have become the norm. About 96 percent of the food aid supplied in 2010 went to 21 countries that have received U.S. food aid for four years or more," iWatch News reports.
