Many soy food products carry health claims stating that they reduce the risk of heart disease. A review of the evidence, however, suggests that soy's cardiovascular benefits may have been overestimated by the early studies that formed the basis for its health claim.
Intact Vascular, Inc., a developer of medical devices for minimally invasive peripheral vascular procedures, today announced that data from its Tack Optimized Balloon Angioplasty II pivotal clinical trial will be presented at the 15th Annual VIVA Conference in Las Vegas, NV on November 5-8.

In the latest healthcare reforms there was a mandatory freeze in payments of $130 billion over the next decade. This was criticized by President Obama as a corporate giveaway. Seventy-four percent of those enrolled in the Federal Health Benefits Program (FEHBP) oppose a new effort by Congress to change the program's prescription drug benefits, according to a new poll released by the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association.
