The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University announced today that its nasopharyngeal swab and toehold switch technologies have been licensed to Alabama-based Agile Biodetection, which will use them to develop solutions for unmet diagnostic needs in the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in environmental or clinical settings.
Sanaria Inc. and the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative has officially opened a one-of-a-kind clinical manufacturing facility to produce a vaccine that uses a weakened form of the malaria parasite to fight a disease that annually kills more than one million people, most of them African children.
RXi Pharmaceuticals Corporation, a biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing innovative therapeutics, primarily in the areas of dermatology and ophthalmology, today announced that it received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office on its novel, self-delivering RNAi platform (sd‑rxRNA).

Not once since the BBA required annual physician rate cuts have those cuts been implemented, leading every year to the predictable and depressing final-hours "doc fix" vote.
NextGate, the Enterprise Master Index leader, today announced a partnership with NextGen Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare information systems and connectivity solutions, aimed at improving healthcare organizations' ability to combine data from disparate systems and create a unified, complete record for each patient.
