Like cholesterol, elevated levels of triglyceride, a fat in the blood, is associated with the increased risk of heart disease—the number one cause of death in the United States.
A number of reexamined cases in recent years-;aided by new technology and debate among medical experts-;have put proponents of the (Shaken Baby Syndrome) hypothesis on the defensive.
A low-salt diet may be more beneficial in lowering blood pressure in females than males, report scientists who found that while actual salt retention isn't higher in females, there is still an effect that drives pressure up.
