Loyola University Chicago's Genomics Facility is using an advanced technology called next generation sequencing to assist a broad range of researchers studying the genetic make-up of organisms ranging from viruses to humans.
Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Eisai Inc. announced today that lorcaserin data from the Phase 3 BLOOM-DM trial will be presented in poster sessions at the American Diabetes Association's (ADA) 71st Scientific Sessions in San Diego, California.
A clinical research study is being conducted for patients with Interstitial Cystitis/Painful Bladder Syndrome (IC/PBS), a chronic bladder disorder characterized by intense pelvic pain, urinary frequency-urgency, and pain during sexual intimacy (www.PainfulBladderStudy.org). It is estimated that as many as 1.3 million people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with this disease and many more remain undiagnosed.
University of Michigan-led research brings scientists one step closer to understanding the development of neurodegenerative disorders such as ALS.
