Health officials in Missouri said yesterday that they have received the first report this year of mosquitoes testing positive for the West Nile virus in the state.
Stressgen Biotechnologies announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted US Patent Number 6,900,035, covering methods of manufacturing HspE7, the Company's lead product candidate for human papillomavirus (HPV)- related diseases and cancer.
Despite recent advances in the treatment of heart rhythm disturbances, mortality and morbidity rates associated with atrial fibrillation (AF) remain "unacceptably high", according to a new report.
Working with a group of national and international researchers, scientists from the Florida campus of The Scripps Research Institute have developed a new genetic model of premature aging disorders that could shed light on these rare conditions in humans and provide a novel platform for large-scale screening of compounds to combat these and other age-related diseases.
