New research from the University of Montana demonstrates a unique relationship between fluid volume and fluid temperature during arduous work in the heat.
It is well known that hip and vertebral fractures increase the risk of premature death. Until now, little has been known about the clinical impact of non-hip, non-vertebral fractures - so new Australian research showing that they may also increase the risk of death will better inform treatment.
Healthy eating not only promotes growth and development, but also provides important opportunities for children to socialize during meals. A new, comprehensive analysis of feeding behavior in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) indicates that these children are five times more likely to have a feeding problem, including extreme tantrums during meals, severe food selectivity and ritualistic mealtime behaviors.

One-third of pediatric patients treated surgically for intermittent exotropia have excellent post-treatment alignment, and two-thirds have satisfactory control of the condition after the procedure, show UK study results.
