ALLOZYNE, Inc. announced today, the completion of its first Phase IA clinical trial in healthy individuals for AZ01, a PEGylated form of human interferon beta-1b which is being developed for the treatment of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. The objectives of the Phase IA trial were to assess safety and tolerability profile in addition to defining its pharmacological properties.
The antimicrobial arsenal that we count on to save millions of lives each year is alarmingly thin-and these microbes are rapidly evolving resistance to our weapons. But help may be on the way: In a study posted in the AMB Express, researchers from the National Institute of Standards and Technology show that automated techniques commonly used to screen new drugs for mammalian cell toxicity could also dramatically speed up the challenging task of antimicrobial discovery.
Today, the California Primary Care Association (CPCA) announced that one of its members, the Petaluma Health Center, has received Level 3 Recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its implementation of the Patient Centered Health Home (PCHH) model of care.
