Collaborating scientists from The Scripps Research Institute and the University of California San Diego have developed a powerful new system for studying how proteins and other biological molecules form and lose their natural folded structures.
"Two Republican congressmen who help oversee billions of dollars for people with AIDS are asking the federal government for an accounting of fraud and mismanagement complaints leveled against AIDS programs nationwide," The Washington Post reports.
Around one in three children of parents with a severe mental illness – schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depressive disorder – will develop such a disorder themselves by early adulthood, a meta-analysis has found.
