An increasing number of research works have highlighted how women are disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic globally. Disease outbreaks impact men, women, and other genders differently.

The first patient has now been included in Karo Bio's phase III trial with eprotirome. A total of 630 patients with the hereditary condition HeFH will be studied for safety, and to confirm the beneficial effects on LDL-cholesterol that has been shown previously.
Metastasis. The very word evokes fear. Defined as the spread of cancer cells from one part of the body to another, metastasis is the cause of approximately 90 percent of deaths among cancer patients. How does metastasis come about? And can we stop it?
