Endo Pharmaceuticals today announced the successful completion of the tender offer by its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, West Acquisition Corp., for all of the outstanding shares of common stock of Penwest Pharmaceuticals Co.
A team of researchers led by diabetes specialists and biomedical engineers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and Cornell University has demonstrated that, using a miniscule device, they can implant insulin-secreting cells into diabetic mice.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute have formed a collaboration to provide proton therapy for St. Jude patients. The announcement follows the approval of the first clinical study to evaluate the use of proton therapy for rare brain cancers in children younger than 3 years old.
