Weight training or cardio? For older adults trying to slim down, pumping iron might be the way to go. A new study by researchers at Wake Forest University suggests combining weight training with a low-calorie diet preserves much needed lean muscle mass that can be lost through aerobic workouts.
Rush University Medical Center is the first hospital in Chicago to use a new technology that enables specially trained physicians to use a single stitch to close an opening between the upper chambers of the heart -; a condition that is found in about one in four people, most of whom are unaware of it.
