Reuters reports on a new poll of health executives that indicates that the industry is not adequately prepared to protect patients' digital health records. Still, according to the Boston Globe, Dr. David Blumenthal, offered a positive view of medical technology in a Wednesday night speech, saying that electronic medical records made him a better doctor.
ICF International, a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a $31.8 million re-compete contract by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to provide information technology and scientific support services to the National Center for Toxicological Research.
"As a teen, no one ever told us that cigarettes would affect our health," says Jerry Berkowitz, a throat cancer survivor who started smoking at age 13. "Everyone smoked."
