KemPharm, Inc. today announced that it has commenced a Phase 1 clinical trial in healthy volunteers with KP201, its novel abuse deterrent prodrug of hydrocodone for pain. KP201 is a new chemical entity and is the most advanced opioid-based lead candidate in KemPharm's emerging pipeline.
A key element of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's mission is focused on helping to ensure that all products we regulate, including drugs available to consumers, are safe and of high quality. This means working to ensure greater accountability in our nation's drug supply chain.
John Whyte, MD, PhD, is the 2012 recipient of Kessler Foundation's Joel A. DeLisa, MD Award for Excellence in Research and Education in the Field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R). Dr. Whyte will be honored at the Foundation's Board of Trustees dinner in West Orange on May 10.
