Boehringer Ingelheim, working with pharmaphorum media, has brought together patients, patient groups and globally renowned clinicians to launch a report into IPF entitled Inspiration - a new initiative dedicated to raising awareness of IPF,1 a rare disease that is relatively unheard of, frequently misdiagnosed and little understood.
Mersana Therapeutics, Inc., and the biopharmaceutical division of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, which operates as EMD Serono in the United States and Canada, announced today an agreement to collaboratively develop next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
Talking on a cell phone or texting while walking may seem natural and easy, but it could be dangerous and result in walking errors and interfere with memory recall. Researchers at Stony Brook University found this to be the case in a study of young people walking and using their cell phones. The study is reported in the online edition of Gait & Posture.
Researchers from the Cognition and Brain Plasticity research group of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute and the University of Barcelona, in collaboration with several hospitals, have discovered that an intellectually active lifestyle confers protection against neurodegeneration in people with Huntington's disease, delaying the onset of symptoms and loss of grey matter in the brain.
