It is well-known that victims of bullying can have higher risks of future health and social problems. However, different victims experience a broad range of responses and some may not suffer at all.
Neuroblastoma tumors shrank, some dramatically, in 80 percent of newly diagnosed, young, high-risk patients enrolled in a Phase II clinical trial that included an experimental monoclonal antibody. The immunotherapy agent was produced on the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital campus where the study is still underway.
Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C. (J&JPRD) announced today that it received a Complete Response letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding its New Drug Application (NDA) for tapentadol extended release tablets.
The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), the second largest funding source of cancer research in the United States, kicks off its second year by awarding 52 cancer research grants totaling $40,302,026 to 13 Texas institutions. Among the grants are two CPRIT Scholars in Cancer Research recruitment awards bringing outstanding scientists from preeminent institutions to join the faculty at Texas universities.
Not everyone needs a genetic test before taking the cancer drug irinotecan, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration should modify its prescription guidelines to say so, according to researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
