DBV Technologies announced today that it has received "Fast Track Designation" for the Clinical Development Program of its Viaskin Peanut, a product designed for the treatment by Epicutaneous Immunotherapy (EPIT) of patients with peanut allergy.
Researchers at the Centenary Institute in Sydney have uncovered new information about an enzyme called DPP9 that they believe to be a potential therapeutic target for limiting tumour growth and its ability to spread to and in the liver.
Scientists at The Wistar Institute have shown that an anti-diabetic drug can inhibit the growth of melanoma in older patients by activating an anti-aging gene that in turn inhibits a protein involved in metastatic progression and resistance to targeted therapies for the disease.
Disrupting a key interaction between two types of proteins in cells inhibits the spread of cancerous cells, providing researchers with a new pathway toward developing cancer-fighting drugs, according to new findings by Georgia State University scientists.
A recent study conducted by researchers at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center has found that preschool age children are consuming more calories and fewer fruits, vegetables and milk outside of child care centers than what is recommended by the USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program.
