University of Maryland School of Medicine researchers are investigating a new approach to treat high-risk soft-tissue sarcomas by combining two immunotherapy drugs with radiation therapy to stimulate the immune system to destroy the main tumor as well as leftover microscopic cancer cells that may seed other tumors.
Atopix Therapeutics Limited, a UK biopharmaceutical company developing a novel class of medicines to treat atopic dermatitis and severe asthma, today announced that it has raised additional development capital to advance its lead product OC459 for the treatment of asthma.
IDEXX Laboratories, Inc., today reported that revenues for the fourth quarter of 2010 increased 5% to $283.8 million, from $270.3 million for the fourth quarter of 2009. Organic revenue growth, as defined below, was 6%. Earnings per diluted share ("EPS") for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 increased 22% to $0.62, compared to $0.51 for the same period in the prior year.
