A serendipitous comparison prompted by an old scientific image and involving an ancient but understudied molecule may lead to a new treatment strategy for injuries or illnesses in which blood clotting is paramount to survival.
Between 1993 and 2000, David Chadwick (University of Liverpool, UK) and colleagues, recruited around 1400 patients with single or infrequent seizures from centres in the UK and around the world.
Despite documented evidence confirming that veterans are experiencing delays for essential healthcare services due to lack of anesthesia support in Veterans Health Administration facilities, the Department of Veterans Affairs has published its final rule granting full practice authority to all advanced practice registered nurses except Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.
The RCGP is calling for GPs to review personal health budget care plans, warning that patients' health needs may not be met if their allocated funds run out.
