Universal Detection Technology, a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies and counter-terrorism training programs to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, announced today that it will be showcasing its TS-10-5-agent biodetection kit at ASIS International 2009 in Anaheim, California.
PositiveID Corporation, in conjunction with its development partner RECEPTORS LLC, announced today that the companies have achieved a milestone in the development of their in vivo glucose-sensing RFID microchip to detect glucose levels in the body. The companies have completed the synthesis of a new chemical building block that will serve as the anchor of their next generation of Combinatorial Artificial Receptor (CARA™) surfaces for the sensing system component of the implantable glucose sensor.
Raptor Pharmaceuticals Corp. has announced that its clinical development subsidiary, Bennu Pharmaceuticals Inc. , has initiated the Company's first clinical-stage program after dosing the first cohort in a Phase IIa study of oral 4-methylpyrazole ("4-MP") in subjects with ALDH2 deficiency, or ethanol intolerance, as the initial development stage of its Convivia program.
