At a public forum on the famine in the Horn of Africa held at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday, USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah "announced the U.S. is pledging an additional $23 million in grants to support famine relief efforts, bringing the total commitment from the United States to $600 million," the Associated Press/KSTP reports.
Eisai Inc. and Helsinn Group today announced the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of ALOXI (palonosetron HCl) injection for the prevention of acute nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, in children aged 1 month to less than 17 years.
Dakota Laboratories LLC and its president, Charles L. Voellinger, Sr., are prohibited from manufacturing and distributing drugs until they correct their ongoing violations of the drug manufacturing laws.
