The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Guidelines for the management of valvular heart disease are published online today in European Heart Journal.
U.S. intelligence agencies released a report on Thursday warning that "[d]rought, floods and a lack of fresh water may cause significant global instability and conflict in the coming decades, as developing countries scramble to meet demand from exploding populations while dealing with the effects of climate change," the Associated Press reports.
An important point about this work is that the research into curcumin was conducted following a discovery about mesothelioma, rather than being the primary endpoint of the study.
