Omeros Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing and commercializing products focused on inflammation and disorders of the central nervous system, today announced results from the Phase 1/2 clinical trial of OMS201, the Company's urological PharmacoSurgery™ product candidate.
Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Ltd. generated net sales of $40.4 million and $268.2 million in the third quarter and first nine months of its Fiscal Year 2011, respectively, as compared to $52.0 million and $178.4 million, respectively, for the corresponding periods of our previous fiscal year ended December 31, 2009.
Each year, more than $400 million in tax-free income is wasted when flexible spending account (FSA) holders don't spend FSA funds, or fail to submit expenses to be reimbursed by an FSA. While recent U.S. Treasury Department changes give employers the option to offer a rollover of up to $500 each year in unused FSA funds, a recent FSAstore.com survey of its benefit administrator partners found that 66 percent of employers are expected to wait until next year to amend their FSA plans.
Bristol-Myers Squibb today announced the launch of Daklinza▼ (daclatasvir) in the UK, a new medicine for the treatment of adult patients with chronic hepatitis C. Daclatasvir, a treatment that works across multiple hepatitis C genotypes, will allow up to 90% of UK patients the option of a potentially curative oral treatment regimen that does not include interferon, a standard of care commonly associated with sustained flu-like side effects.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services today recognized the importance of lung cancer screening, announcing today that it will cover low-dose computed tomography (CT) screening, or "CAT" scans , for high-risk current and former smokers. The decision validates Mount Sinai's longstanding commitment to providing access to this essential screening tool.
