Responding to Governor Brown's announced revised budget, breast cancer survivors and advocates from across the state stressed the importance of early detection.
Boehringer Ingelheim today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration accepted for review the New Drug Application (NDA) for the fixed-dose combination (FDC) of tiotropium and olodaterol delivered via the Respimat inhaler for the proposed indication of long-term, once-daily maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema.
ASEA, an emerging global leader in cellular health, today announced findings from a skin study conducted by leading dermatological research institute Dermatest. The study showed that RENU 28 skin gel effectively improves the appearance of cellulite as a result of the reduction of the size of adipose lobules. Additionally, the study showed significant improvement in skin elasticity.
HHS' Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality today announced the award of $34 million for projects focused on preventing one of the top 10 leading causes of death in the United States - healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). This new funding will help improve the quality of care delivered to patients and expand the fight against HAIs in hospitals, ambulatory care settings, end-stage renal disease facilities and long-term care facilities.
