Tamoxifen still not popular with women at risk of breast cancer A new study has revealed that less than one in five women eligible to take tamoxifen decided to take the drug after being told of its risks and benefits.
Researchers from the University of British Columbia's Faculties of Medicine, Science and Dentistry are leading a $4.7-million pan-Canadian clinical trial aimed at improving outcomes for patients undergoing surgery for oral squamous cell cancers.
A study to help women decide how to give birth has started in Bristol and Weston. Known as the DiAMOND study (Decision Aids for Mode Of Next Delivery), it is being run jointly by the Universities of Bristol and Dundee.
A study of UK Gulf war servicemen, the largest to date, shows that forces deployed to the first Gulf War report more ill health than veterans who did not serve there. The study is published today in BMC Public Health.
New research coauthored by Brigham Young University researchers may lead to a more accurate system for early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of prostate cancer.
