The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today approved updated labeling for Purdue Pharma L.P.'s reformulated OxyContin (oxycodone hydrochloride controlled-release) tablets.
European Commission's Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) scheme has granted 4 M- to an international consortium aiming to construct a functional 3D neuronal structure mimicking the human brain. The project titled "Biomimicking the brain - towards 3D neuronal network dynamics" is planned to last for the period 1.7.2012.12.2014.
Zecotek Photonics Inc., a developer of leading-edge photonics technologies for medical, industrial and scientific markets, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Zecotek Imaging Systems Pte. Ltd. has signed a joint collaboration partnership agreement with Hamamatsu Photonics (Tokyo: 6965) of Japan to commercialize existing imaging technologies and to collaborate on the upgrade and manufacture of photo detectors, integrated detector modules (IDM) and associated electronics and data acquisition modules for the imaging markets at large.
Researchers from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, Hubei, China have looked at the outcomes of pregnant mothers with COVID-19 and their newborns. Their study titled, "Clinical features and obstetric and neonatal outcomes of pregnant patients with COVID-19 in Wuhan, China: a retrospective, single-center, descriptive study" was published in the latest issue of the journal The Lancet, Infectious Diseases.
Researchers at Flinders University in Australia have found that time-scarcity for working mothers – and especially those who are also studying - amplified stress attached to providing family food and that more help is needed from the family unit and society at large to support ideal nutritional goals.
