Results of a randomised trial in this week's issue of THE LANCET suggest that people with type 2 diabetes could benefit from cholesterol-lowering therapy with statins to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, even when they do not have high cholesterol concentrations.
Two studies from Mayo Clinic's site in Jacksonville, Fla., of women whose breast cancer spread to their brain, have found that women whose tumors do not have estrogen or progesterone receptors have the worst overall outcomes.
A New Jersey law requiring hospitals and nursing homes to publicly report the number of patients per nurse has led to better nurse staffing ratios, a Rutgers study found.
While managing stress can seem like an impossible goal, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) reminds fathers to keep their mental wellness top of mind and seek help before stress leads to a larger issue, such as depression.
