The National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare (National Council) today announced a new eight-month pilot program designed to advance standards of care for people living with schizophrenia. This initiative at 10 community behavioral health organizations nationwide is designed to improve the daily functioning of people with schizophrenia and raise expectations for what is achievable.
To ensure the lowest possible CT radiation dose without compromising image quality, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. launches PROTECT. PROTECT is a three-year, comprehensive CT radiation dose management program to help customers achieve ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) imaging with Toshiba's Aquilion CT product line.
Researchers are exploring ways to help clinicians and investigators use and share routinely collected medical data (such as information in electronic health records) to improve care and advance clinical research.
The diagnosis and treatments of congenital heart disease have improved so much that many babies now born with heart defects can still look forward to a long and fulfilling life. Just two generations ago, the majority of babies born with heart defects died before their first birthday, but today many of these conditions can be corrected.
