AP poll: Health law remains divisive, but Americans worry less that it will undermine their own care

But a new poll finds Americans are less worried that the overhaul will undermine their own care. As the Supreme Court prepares to hear arguments on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, the Associated Press-GfK poll shows that Americans are less concerned their own personal health care will suffer as a result of it.

Usage of gonadotropins in assisted reproductive technologies significantly improves outcomes

The U.S. infertility specialty has empirically incorporated greater amounts of human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) into stimulation protocols, according to a new review article, "Gonadotropins in the Treatment of Infertility" by George T. Koulianos, MD, published in a recent issue of US Obstetrics & Gynecology, supported by an educational grant from Ferring Pharmaceuticals. The article reviews the wealth of clinical evidence supporting this trend, and demonstrates how the use of gonadotropins in the treatment of infertility, especially in assisted reproductive technologies, has significantly improved outcomes.

Screen time contributes to headache, backache in school-aged teenagers

The amount of time teenagers spend in front of TV screens and monitors has been associated with physical complaints. A large study of more than 30,000 Nordic teenagers published in the open access journal BMC Public Health has shown that TV viewing, computer use and computer gaming (screen time) were consistently associated with back pain and recurrent headaches.
