The CDC has announced new guidelines to reduce the risk of catheter-associated infections in the United States. The guidelines now designate treatment with chlorhexidine gluconate-impregnated sponge as a category 1B recommendation exclusively based on evidence related to BIOPATCH® Protective Disk with CHG.
From a sample of over 300 college newspapers, findings revealed that almost one-quarter of advertisements offered payment in excess of $10,000, a violation of guidelines issued by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
Despite a ban on tobacco advertising on television, nearly all U.S. children age 12 to 17 years may have been exposed to tobacco use through movie advertisements televised in 2001 to 2002, according to an article in the September issue of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.
