A new study reports a more rapid method of viral inactivation in an effort to increase the appeal of inactivated viral vaccines against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Epeius Biotechnologies announced today the results of Phase I/II and II studies of Rexin-G in chemotherapy-resistant metastatic soft tissue sarcoma and osteosarcoma, as presented by Dr. Sant P. Chawla, principal investigator, at the CTOS 14th annual meetings held in London UK on November 13-15, 2008.
The zebrafish is a potential tool for testing one class of unique individual genetic differences found in humans, and may yield information helpful for the emerging field of personalized medicine, according to a team led by Penn State College of Medicine scientists. The differences, or mutations, in question create minor changes in amino acids - the building blocks of DNA - from person to person.
After the acute treatment window closes, the only effective treatment for stroke is physical/occupational therapy. Now scientists from Children's Hospital Boston report a two-pronged molecular therapy that leads to significant recovery of skilled motor function in a rat model of stroke.
