Vicept Therapeutics, Inc., a privately held specialty biopharmaceutical company, announced positive results from a pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic clinical trial of the Company's lead product V-101, a topical cream under investigation for the treatment of erythema in patients with rosacea.
Two new reports released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that while the United States has made dramatic progress in the fight against tobacco, too many Americans still smoke and too many non-smokers including more than half of all young children are still exposed to secondhand smoke.
Because ubiquitin plays a key role in cell survival, scientists have already begun to develop drugs to target parts of the ubiquitin pathway in treating diseases such as cancer.
