Smart Cells releases first sample of cord blood to treat autism and parents' guide to ASD

Private cord blood company, Smart Cells, has released their 20th sample of stem cells collected from cord blood and tissue to a patient to treat autism. This is the company's first sample to be released and infused for the condition. Hormone treatment could cut need for chemo in some younger breast cancer patients

NIH-funded study to evaluate rescue medications for victims of toxic gases

National Jewish Health researchers have received nearly $13 million from the National Institutes of Health to evaluate potential rescue medications for victims of terrorist attacks, wartime use of toxic gases, and/or inhalation disasters. The gases of greatest interest in these studies will be 'mustard gas' (sulfur mustard) and chlorine gas.
