U.S. Court upholds validity of Eli Lilly's Gemzar compound patent

Eli Lilly and Company today announced that the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana has upheld the validity of the company's compound patent on Gemzar® (gemcitabine HCl for injection). This decision maintains Lilly's U.S. exclusivity for Gemzar through November 15, 2010.

According to the California Physical Therapy Association, the insurance company is slashing payment for physical therapy services to a rate so low it is financially impossible for many physical therapists to continue providing care to enrollees of Anthem Blue Cross.
