Reduced heparin dose lowers bleeding risk after PCI without increasing risk of ischaemic complications

With both bleeding und thrombotic complications having a negative effect on PCI outcomes, increasing efforts have been made to improve PCI anticoagulation regimens. Although unfractionated heparin has been the standard anti-thrombotic agent in interventional cardiology for decades, there is still no solid evidence from large clinical trials to guide its dosing during PCI.

EORTC trial evaluates effectiveness of pembrolizumab in patients with high-risk stage III melanoma

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued the first marketing denial orders (MDOs) for electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) products after determining the applications for about 55,000 flavored ENDS products from three applicants lacked sufficient evidence that they have a benefit to adult smokers sufficient to overcome the public health threat posed by the well-documented, alarming levels of youth use of such products.
