BioPontis Alliance, Merck enter innovative strategic agreement in translational drug research

BioPontis Alliance, LLC announced today that it has entered into an innovative strategic agreement with Merck (known outside the US and Canada as MSD) designed to bridge the gap between early academic discovery science and the development of medicines and technologies that impact human health. Apricus Bio raises over $9.3 million in securities offering

Apricus Biosciences, backed by a revenue generating CRO business and seeking to leverage its multi-route NexACT® drug delivery technology and internal pipeline through out-licensing partnerships, today announced that the Company has closed its previously announced securities offering, raising over $9.3 million in gross proceeds. Study determines risk of young-onset breast cancer after use of ovulation-stimulating fertility drugs

Women using fertility drugs who did not conceive a 10-plus week pregnancy were at a statistically significant reduced risk of breast cancer compared to nonusers; however, women using the drugs who conceived a 10-plus week pregnancy had a statistically significant increased risk of breast cancer compared to unsuccessfully treated women, but a comparable risk to nonusers, according to a study published July 6 in the Journal of The National Cancer Institute.
