Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. today announced that it has agreed to acquire AB Sanitas for approximately EUR314 million in cash.

A combination of metformin and chemoradiation in patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA-NSCLC) was not found to add survival benefit in the NRG Oncology clinical trial NRG-LU001. These results were recently published in JAMA Oncology.
Beryl technology improves relationship between health care providers and consumers

Researchers receive grants to advance work in prevention of premature birth
Researchers at UT Southwestern Medical Center received grants totaling $600,000 from the March of Dimes Foundation to advance their work in the prevention of premature birth, which affects about one out of nine babies born annually in the U.S. and is the leading cause of newborn death.
