A new review of current literature, conducted by the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London, has found that irregular responses in the brain to challenging tasks and mistakes could be key to understanding common links between abnormal behaviors in a range of mental illness and cognitive disorders.
The incidence of premature babies has been stable or even increased over time. The phenomenon brings with it the possibility of neurological, sensorial, respiratory, cognitive or psychomotor consequences for the child, both in the short and the medium term. These consequences also are a concern to child psychiatrists and psychologists, as it is currently known that the progress of a premature baby and the appearance or otherwise of problems depend largely on the family environment, above all how the mother interacts with her child in the first months of its life.
The number of older Americans with low vision is expected to double in the coming years, as more people live longer.
The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued Advaxis, Inc.,, the live, attenuated Listeria monocytogenes (Listeria) immunotherapy company, patent #7662396 titled "Compositions and Methods for Enhancing the Immunogenicity of Antigens" for the use of fusion proteins that have been found to be effective in numerous models for the treatment of cancer in the presence of immune tolerance.
A growing body of evidence suggests that traditional cancer treatments can paradoxically promote new tumor growth.
