A novel research project spearheaded by the University of Leicester and part-funded by The Leverhulme Trust aims to shed new light on the way people perceive art.
Numerous studies have suggested that job loss and unemployment lead to poorer health. Sociologists at the University of Bamberg are now continuing this research and have set out to answer whether job loss still has health-related consequences even if it occurred decades ago and subsequent employment may have been found.
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is one of a select number of medical centers nationwide—and currently the only one in the Northeast—offering a newly approved optical imaging agent for the detection of papillary cancer of the bladder in patients with known or suspected bladder cancer.
Bayer HealthCare and Onyx Pharmaceuticals announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted priority review designation to Bayer HealthCare's New Drug Application (NDA) filed end of April 2012 for the oral multi-kinase inhibitor regorafenib, for the treatment of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) whose disease has progressed after approved standard therapies.
