Provectus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a development-stage oncology and dermatology biopharmaceutical company, announced today that Professor John F. Thompson, MD, Professor of Melanoma and Surgical Oncology at the University of Sydney, Director of the Melanoma Institute Australia, and Lead Investigator of the Phase 2 study of PV-10 for Metastatic Melanoma, will be presenting data at the 3rd World Meeting of Interdisciplinary Melanoma/Skin Cancer Centers on November 21, 2009 in Berlin, Germany.
Lorraine Stone was born with heart disease. When just three days old she was the youngest person in the world at that time to survive a heart by-pass operation. Since then she has had five major heart operations. Miraculously, at the age 29, she is expecting to give birth to her second child in July.
Multiple sclerosis affects around three times as many women as men and is commonly diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40 years, when many women are focusing on career and family planning.
The most widely prescribed class of drugs in the country, statins have helped millions of people lower their cholesterol and reduce their risk of heart attacks - but their side effects, including muscle pain and cramping, have proven to be something of a sore point for many patients.
