Visterra Inc., developer of novel therapeutics to treat major diseases, announced today that it has entered into a collaboration agreement with Pfizer to discover novel antibodies using Visterra's proprietary platform.
The Governor's Office of Health Care Reform has received more than $17 million in federal Recovery Act funds to help develop a health information "superhighway" to connect health care practitioners, patients, facilities and pharmacies through a secure network giving them the ability to have a complete record of a patient's medical history.
A single dose of an antibody-based treatment can prevent HIV transmission from mother to baby, new nonhuman primate research suggests for the first time. The findings are being published in the journal Nature Communications.
Moffitt Cancer Center researchers have found that breast and lung cancer patients who have low levels of a protein called tristetraprolin (TTP) have more aggressive tumors and a poorer prognosis than those with high levels of the protein.
