DUSA Pharmaceuticals, Inc.®, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on dermatology, announced today that global sales volumes of the Levulan® Kerastick®, an integral part of the Levulan® Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) technology platform, surpassed one million units.
Years ago, there was a time that kids from a rural village in South Africa still wanted to swim in the rivers nearby. But when they got out of the water, those with sensitive skins would have the worst rash ever, says Prof Philiswa Nomngongo.
Spectral Diagnostics Inc., today announced that it has signed a long-term, exclusive distribution agreement with Toray Industries, Inc. and Toray Medical Co., Ltd. of Japan (collectively "Toray") to market and sell Toraymyxin™ in Canada. Toraymyxin™ is a therapeutic hemoperfusion device that removes endotoxin, which can cause sepsis, from the bloodstream. This product and Spectral's EAA™ diagnostic, which measures endotoxin and identifies patients for treatment, are already approved for sale by Health Canada.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health, has launched an innovative community health initiative called "Say Yes! COVID Test" starting in Pitt County, North Carolina, and coming soon to Chattanooga/Hamilton County Tennessee.
