This Altarum Institute Policy Roundtable will consider the role of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children ("WIC") in childhood obesity prevention, how the program is already addressing the childhood obesity epidemic, and – with the reauthorization of the Child Nutrition Act imminent – what policy changes may be needed to ensure WIC can be successful in addressing childhood obesity.
Children with amblyopia (commonly known as lazy eye) need only wear an eye patch for three to four hours a day for 12 weeks to improve vision, say researchers in a study published on bmj.com today.
A study carried out by researchers from the University of Granada in collaboration with San Cecilio Clinic Hospital has scientifically proved that neonate girls present a greater antioxidant defense and less oxidative stress on their cell membranes than boys, in addition to higher antioxidant enzymatic activity.
As the election approaches, Americans remain divided on the health law and GOP challengers seeking to use that to their advantage are finding mixed results. The Associated Press has a variety of coverage.
